Lisbeth Gruwez and Maarten Van Cauwenberghe are unique artists. Their choreographic writing is thought of as a duo: she builds the dance when he builds the music. But the division of tasks is much more complex than it seems. It’s all a question of listening, of shared views, of a common project. Dance and music, thought as mutual and powerful engines of the choreographic work. For more than two years, Lisbeth Gruwez and Maarten Van Cauwenberghe have been artists associated with Le Quartz. They have offered us magnificent, unforgettable pieces, and also a wonderful presence with the public.

For the 9th edition of DañsFabrik, they will delight us more than ever with the avant premiere of their new show, Piano Works Debussy, and with their insightful view of the festival’s programme via the Belgian choreographic scene.

They will also bring a breath of joyful fantasy to the festival, with their mischievousness and subtlety.
